Hi there, I need to capture screen shots in an os2 environment... The resulting files will then need to be converted to sun raster format (to be then imported into framemaker). Any suggestions? I will also need to do the same process on MS Windows and DOS... Many thanks and happy holidays! :) Rob Fish rfish(at)verity.com {I never did like vi!!!}

For DOS, you can capture the screen using FRIEZE that comes with PC Paintbrush to capture to PCX, GRAB that comes with WOrdPerfect to capture to .WPG, or Screen-to-Postscript to capture to Encapsulated Postscript (this is available by itself). Don't know what framemaker likes.. If you are capturing DOS TEXT screens with color foreground and background, you can also convert the colors to different background grays and foreground thicknesses when printed using a post-processor for Screen-to-Postscript (the two are sold separately or as a package). This is useful for software documentation etc. You can contact SCRtoPS people at 708-357-6679. PC Paintbrush, WordPerfect etc. are off the shelf packages. Venu P.
