[comp.os.os2.misc] Questions on PM Button Controls.

cole@iccgcc.decnet.ab.com (12/19/90)

	The following concerns OS/2 v1.2.

 	The OS/2 programmer's reference states that user-defined
button controls can be created, but the owner window is responsible
for rendering the button in its appropriate state. I find this to
be inconvenient. Do future upgrades to OS/2 plan to enhance button
controls/buttonPanes to make it easier to create custom buttons?
For instance:

1.) The ability to change foreColor/backColor of a buttonPane.

2.) The ability to substitute bitMaps for button labels.

3.) The ability to scale text Fonts for button labels.

The above functionality would be nice to have. Can any IBM'ers
out there share some insights as to what might happen in this area?
Thanks!
