I just thoguth I would post some information here since the question of TCP/IP for OS/2 has popped up a number of times. I am running OS/2 1.20 on an IBM model 70 (20MHz version), with a 3COM Etherlink/MC card and 6 MB memory, and have just installed PC/TCP for OS/2 version 1.0 (from FTP) and PCSA for OS/2 version 1.0 (DECnet protocol suite of programs). They are both working fine, even though the PCSA product is not supposed to run on greater than OS/2 1.1! Some of the features are: TCP/IP: telnet (and deamon) ftp (and deamon) rwho (and deamon) talk (and deamon) and many other programs from a typical Unix TCP/IP implementation that work as expected. I particularly like the ability to log in to my PC and run (non-graphics or full-screen) programs. I can ftp to and from it as well. Authorisation is poor (with password files that are readable) and the setting up of "accounts" is impossible, and there is no NFS support. A future release? DECnet: use of local area disk drives lat protocol for terminal sessions network file transfer server implementation allows use of PCSA file and print services on a VAX as well as offering such services to other PCs via Lan Manager DECnet, LAT and TCP/IP protocols coexist well and allow me maximum flexibility. Plus, it all actually works!
