I have a 486 clone with an AMI BIOS and am running OS/2 1.2 SE. I cannot copy large files hard disk<-->floppy without getting a fatal trap. I have heard reports of other 486's having problems with floppies even in DOS, reportedly because the processor is just too fast for the floppy disk. Has anyone else had problems copying to/from floppies on a 486 in OS/2 or in DOS? Anyone have any ideas? It is driving me crazy since I can apparently copy floppy<-->floppy and hard<-->hard OK but this floppy<-->hard problem is preventing me from installing some new software, which naturally must copy large files from a floppy disk to the hard disk.
