[comp.os.os2.misc] OS/2, Win32 dates

Culled from Computerworld:

Microsoft says:
 - Dos v.5 - this year
 - Win v.3.1 - this year - bug fix, truetype, multimedia, pen-based computing
 - OS/2 v.3.0 - 18 to 24 months

IBM says:
 - 32-bit PM on 32-bit OS/2 will ship before a 32-bit Windows
 - OS/2 v.2.0 - this year - will support 16-bit, 32-bit OS/2, DOS, Windows apps
does this mean IBM has written its own BCL?? --^^^

Well, IBM may have an equivalent of BCL, but I'm more inclined to believe
that this refers to the fact that you can just go ahead and run Windows itself
(and therefore Windows applications) in a DOS Box under OS/2 2.0.
