I have just installed OS/2 1.3 on a system that was previously running OS/2 1.21. Everything works fine. I then installed the Paradise 800x600 16 colour driver for 1.2 (which I thought was supposed to work under 1.3 also). The system still powers up correctly, and everything appears to work until I run a windows command line, and select the `Fonts...' menu item. At this point everything hangs. I have reinstalled several times - the Paradise drivers dont work properly under 1.3. a) Is there a newer version of these drivers that will work? The files I have are mostly dated November 1990 - 16th for the BVH*.DLL files and 26th for the OS2800.DLL file. b) Any other suggestions? As I wrote in an earlier article, these drivers an be used under 1.3 too, if: - the BVHWND.DLL and BVHVGA.DLL of the Paradise driver set are *NOT*, I repeat, *NOT* used but the versions that come with 1.3 are used. - the BVHINIT.DLL of the Paradise driver set and the standard version are both tried out which version leaves less garbage on the screen when returning from the DOS box :-( The garbage on the PM screen on return from the DOS box is the only problem left after I installed the drivers on a 1.3 system. I don't know how to fix it at the moment. Probably one could write a small program to cause the whole PM screen to be redrawn by a keystroke ...
