I am reposting this message because many faculty/students still have questions concerning the educational price of OS/2 1.3: After a recent phone call to IBM, here are the prices and part number to get the EDUCATIONAL discount on OS/2 version 1.3 Part No: 84F7588 No Upgrade: $105 With Upgrade: $69.30 The person I talked to was not sure whether MS-DOS packages would qualify for the DOS upgrade price, but thought that they should since IBM is most interested in spreading OS/2. It appears that the hardest thing to obtain is the form necessary to upgrade from DOS to OS/2 instead of buying a new one. I recently visited Computerland, and ordered my own copy. At the time, I was told it would take about 5-6 days for the software to come. Now that I see how hard it is for some people to get the program, I wonder if my salesperson knew what she was taking about? Michel Biedermann michelbi@oregon.uoregon.edu !!! Hop Suisse !!!
