Hello, If you think they are simply bashing OS/2, then you are somewhat wrong they are also bashing IBM. I just got an unsolicited letter in the mail from PC Magazine that was the comparison of IBM's, Compaq's, and Hewlett Packard's breakdown ratings. It was basicly an add for Hewlett Packard and a slicer for Compaq and IBM. This presents one problem/aggravation for me. I like to do serious programming, serious in my own mind, and have been inquiring about good systems. I did solicit from PC Magazine for some of the adds they had within. I am wondering if this is legal though, not to mention ethical. Sending out adds to users of PCs without their soliciting from you seems to me to be a little bit questionable. Is this due to OS/2 dumping Microsoft and switching to Borland? I want to buy a machine and OS, because its good not because some sob wants to get even with another sob. Signed, John Duggan p.s. This is my own personal opinion/flame and has nothing to do with anyone else or any other institution.
