Extended Edition is basically Standard Edition with extra goodies, like Communication Manager, LAN Requester, and Data Base Manager (or whatever it is called). Also, since EE is usually released after SE, I would imagine that any additional bug fixes to the base system might be included. SE (Standard Edition) consists only of the base operating system. This includes Presentation Manager, Print Manager and other fundamental bits and pieces. EE (Extended Edition) consists of the base operating system (SE) plus the Communications Manager (including terminal emulation (3270, ASCII, 5250 workstation), LAN functions, misc. 3270 support, host graphics support), the Lan Requester and the Database Manager (including Query Manager & Remote Data Services). >Can i run OS/2 EE on any machine ? Yes, if you have the disk space. V1.2 EE consumes approx 30Mb, V1.3 EE is approx 26Mb. nico -- nico@micrognosis.los-gatos.ca.us Vique's Law: "A man without religion is like a fish without a bicycle."
