Let me try this again -- evidently I wasn't clear enough in the original post. I am looking for a VGA card which satisfies the following specifications: - 72 Hz refresh rate in 640x480 and lower modes; - 60 Hz (not 56 Hz) refresh rate in 800x600; - 16 bit; - OS/2 drivers for 800x600x16 at 60Hz and 640x480x16 (standard VGA) at 72Hz; - reasonable price; - 256K (expandable) or 512K; - configurable to use either of these modes (60 Hz 800x600 or 72 Hz 640x480) according to software demands (no hardware switches to fiddle with between mode changes). For example, as I understand it the STB Ergo Powergraph VGA card cannot be configured to produce both 60 Hz 800x600 and 72 Hz 640x480. It does either all 72 Hz or all lower refresh rates, according to the setting of a hardware switch. That's it. Should be fairly simple. If you have any recommendations, please pass them along via netmail. I'll summarize responses to the net. Thanks for your help. T.F.S. Timothy F. Sipples sip1@quads.uchicago.edu
