[net.ham-radio] Need Manuals for Singer Spectrum Analyzer

GMW@psuvm.BITNET (05/16/85)

I need operating and/or service manuals for a Singer PanoramicPanalyzor Model SB-12bs Type T-100 spectrum analyzer. The company
wants $150 just for Xerox copies, so my wallet will appreciate any
help. I also have what I think is a prescaler for it, model RF-7a,
and could use any information on that, too. Many thanks.

One possible source for manuals for "professional" or industrial/non-consumer
electronic equipment, when the originating company either is defunct or,
as in this case, wants an outrageous price, might be some of the dealers
in reconditioned and used electronic gear. The primary one of these that
I know of is Tucker Electronics Co. (PO Box 461060, Garland, TX 75046 --
800-527-4642* or (214) 348-8800). I've seen Singer spectrum analyzers and
RFI/EMI gear in their catalogs; they might carry extra sets of manuals or
be willing to Xerox some for less than the originating company would charge.

Even if they don't have the manuals, they put out a catalog with all sorts
of neato stuff in it; I've always wanted to DX with some of those $30,000
surveillance and RFI/EMI test receivers and spectrum analyzers....

(*) I just noticed that they have a different 800 number shown on this
card I have for catalog requests: 800-527-4645.
