Hi netlanders, I am having problems with my computer when I run windows 3.0 and a special grahics program that came with my Genoa card called GVGA. The problem that concerns me most is the second. The symptoms are when I run GVGA my system hangs up most of the time and a cold boot is required. What the GVGA program does is allows a user to test certain resolutions and color combinations on the vga system. The system is a 386 with the C&T chip set, Genoa 6400 super vga video controller, and an Amazing Super VGA monitor. I forgot the model no. but was manufactured in April of 90 and it is IBM 8514/A compatible. I have an 85MB seagate drive and a SCSI disk controller. The problem is sporatic although it does not work most times. I have tried turning off shadow RAM, I have checked dip switches and tried variations, I have modified the hardare setup, and I have replaced the software just in case I had a corupted copy. Another guy with the same configuration but with a Panasync monitor says it runs fine. Anybody out there have any advice or similar experiences? thanx =Ralo->
