[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] PC Com1 at 19200 w/ MS-DOS, Windows 3.0

I would like to drive the serial port on my AST Premium/286 at 19200 but
the MS/DOS mode command only allows upto 9600. I have successfully
communicated at 19200 using Qmodem but, its VT100 emulation is the pits.

Is there some way I can have the serial port run at 19200? Terminal under
Windows 3 has a 19200 option but it seems to revert back to 9600.

Any windows based communication packages out there that support 19.2Kb?

Thanks.

Crosstalk for Windows 1.1 supports 19200 baud. However,
on a 286 machine you are going to lose characters during the
screen emulation translation from Escape codes to screen
text.
