[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] 486 Assembly Language Programming

clong@remus.rutgers.edu (Chris Long) (07/25/90)

I've just gotten a copy of Turbo Assembler 2.0 and the Intel i486
reference manual. I'm now looking for a good reference book which
details internal system calls, e.g. printing to the screen, etc.
Does anyone have any recommendations or pointers?

Would you prefer near pointers or far pointers! (Ka-boom!)

Sorry, couldn't resist. Seriously, why don't you try to track
down "The Zen of Assembly Language" by (I believe) Abrash.
Lots of good info on optimization and Intel related features.
