[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] BGI-compatible bit-mapped fonts

waynet@tekred.CNA.TEK.COM (Wayne Turner) (08/04/90)

Anyone know of software (PD or commercial) that is compatible with
Turbo C's graphic interface and can draw different sized bit-mapped
fonts in GRAPHICS mode? BGI only supports a "system" bit-mapped font
of 8x8 which is way too small for any display with greater than EGA
resolution. If possible I want to avoid going to a different compiler
just to get text to come out readable on the graphics display.
Stroked fonts are not really a solution since they look pretty lousy
when scaled down to fit into the standard 80x25 text screen model.

Thanks,
Wayne
