BCN%MIT-EECS@MIT-MC.ARPA (Clifford Neuman) (05/13/85)
I am about to start a mailing list for discussion of packet-radio. The list is intended to provide a forum where people can exchange ideas and describe projects they are working on. The list will be maintained on mit-eddie. Mail for the list should be sent to packet-radio@mit-eddie. Administrative requests (addition and deletion, etc) should be sent to packet-radio-request@mit-eddie. mit-eddie can be reached through the internet, MIT's chaosnet, and via UUCP ({decvax!genrad,ihnp4}!mit-eddie). ~ Cliff N1DMM -------

I have seen a lot of requests for addition to the packet-radio-mailing list on the info-hams mailing list (net.ham-radio). Let me remind people that the correct place to send these messages is packet-radio-request at mit-eddie. People on the UUCP side can join the mailing list. mit-eddie can be reached through decvax!genrad, ihnp4, and others. Some people have suggested setting up the sub group net.ham-radio.packet to gateway the messages on the list to and from usenet. I haven't decided if this would be a good idea. If we do this, eddie is the logical place to do it since it is on usenet itself. Please send replies to this message to me, not the whole list. Thanks, ~ Cliff (N1DMM)
