I'm posting this for my brother, who's in Florida, not Maryland. When his combination floppy disk controller, serial, parallel, game port, and real time clock board is in a slot of his computer, his Packard Bell 2400 baud internal modem does not respond to commands. If he pulls the floppy disk controller card out, his modem works fine. Can anyone shed some light on how to troubleshoot this, and get it to work? He has moved jumpers, changed dip switches, read manuals, read a book on repairing PCs, all with no effect. Thanks in advance. equipment: DDK brand PC/XT Packard Bell internal 2400 baud modem Juko M16X flopp controller/multi-io/clock board 3.5" floppy drive 5.25" floppy drive hard disk video board 4 empty slots -------------------------- Esther Lumsdon -------------------------------- lumsdon@dtoa1.dt.navy.mil lumsdon@dtrc.dt.navy.mil lumsdon%dtrc.navy.mil@uunet.uu.net
