Hi, I have some questions about SCSI tape drives for the PC. With more than 200 MB of disk storage, I'm getting tired of floppy backup's :-). I looked around in computer magazines and most of the time, the advertised items are floppy controller driven tape drives or tape drives with their own special controller board. Isn't there any standard SCSI tape drive ? I already have a SCSI controller in my system (an ALWAYS IN-2000; if anyone heard of this before ? Works real well with the SyQuest removable hard drive.). So, I am not looking for tape drive with special controller board (or even special SCSI board). Also, I'm wondering how does DOS see these SCSI tape drives ? As another DOS drive ? or will it be only accessible via. special software ? Another question is, "Is it possible to back up 8 DOS drives, each < 32 MB, all onto one tape ? Assuming there is capacity of course.". And the last question is who make these drives, how good are they, who sell them, and any phone number for me to call ? Thanks in advance for any info.
