(I am reposting this since it looks like I somehow screwed up the original attempt and lost the message text. Apologies for the wasted net bandwidth!) A friend of mine with a small auto parts rebuilding business asked me if I could reccomend an inventory program for his PC since I "Know About This Computer Stuff." (Unfortunately I don't deal with PCs very much, but I guess the general public would not recognize one the other types of machines out there if they tripped over it!) Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone in net-land knows of a suitable package. The requirements are basically: * General parts inventory (small parts that make up the products) * Product inventory (products sold to end users/jobbers) * Associate the individual parts with particular products so that, for example, he could pull up on the screen (or printer) all the part numbers that go into a master cylinder or other product along with how many of these parts are in stock. This sounds like fairly generic stuff to me, surely there is something on the market that will do this? Replies by mail appreciated as I don't read this newsgroup very often (don't have my own PC yet). Thanks in advance! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bob Alpert { alpert@chovax.dec.com } Suspicion breeds DEC { ...!decwrl!chovax.dec.com!alpert } confidence.
