[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] HELP - Hard Drive Problems

JAM167@psuvm.psu.edu (08/15/90)

I have a SEGATE ST251 with a noname controller in a noname AT compatible.
PROBLEM:
When I format the drive (with or without the DISK MANAGER SOFTWARE)
it works fine until I power down. Upon power up, the disk is not recognized
and the partition table is usually empty. (Various things have happened, but
this is the most common error I have encountered...)

ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

make sure that DEVICE=DMDRVR.BIN is in your config.sys file
