[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] Partitioning Hard Drives

v081nhdb@ubvmsb.cc.buffalo.edu (Nina Banerjee) (08/19/90)

To the person who was having trouble with MS-DOS 3.3 and FDISK...

I don't think that MS-DOS 4.01 can handle Partitions large than 32 MB.
Digital Research DOS 3.41 can have partitions up to 512Mb. I have tried this
on several machines with 40Mb Hard Drives and it works fine. DR-DOS looks a
bit funny if you are use to PC or MS DOS, but I think it's much better.
I'm going to put it on my AT, once I assemble it.

Now, does anyone know where in Western New York I could find a
ST-277R. I don't want to get it through Mail Order, because I need it by the
25th of August.

And, how good are IDE Hard Drives?

Please E-mail me. "So many posts, so little time!"
