Last week I installed the Hyperdisk (TM) 80386 Advanced Memory Shareware 4.01 on my system. All of its features looked nice and the staged write is great. The evaluation period was soon over however and my system now runs without Hyperdisk (TM). Nothing was realy going wrong, but I found out that sometimes, after a staged write, Hyperdisk (TM) writes in the Boot sector of the disk. I am running a box with the NEAT chip set and a hard disk with the Disk-Manager (TM) 4.00 of Ontrack Computer Systems. I installed Hyperdisk (TM) as a TSR with 'HYPER386 H S'. Does anybody know why Hyperdisk (TM) is writing in the Boot sector? What is it doing there? Rik Simoens K.U.Leuven, Dept. of Comp. Science Belgium e-mail: rik@cs.kuleuven.ac.be
