Perhaps this has already been addressed. I've recently acquired a Paradise-compatible VGA plus card, but can't seem to get the IBM8514 driver that comes with Turbo C to talk to it. Are the Paradise and IBM 8514 standards incompatible? Any advise? I'd really like to be able to do some of the 1024x768x16 stuff! ___Samuel___ _________I_claim_and_accept_sole_responsibility_for_the_above._SjG.____________ <goldstein@aerospace.aero.org> | "In the space between our houses/ some bones trimethylxanthine - it gets | have been discovered/ yet our possession you through the day... | lurches on/ as if we had recovered..." Yep. The 8514/A (giggle) standard is uses interlacing to reach the high resolution. All other 1024 cards (like Paradise) use non-interlaced video to give a better picture with less flicker. Leave it to IBM to give us inferior standards...(along with MCGA, MCA, the whole PS/2 line... :) / David Barr | Penn State CAC Student Operator \ | DSB100@psuvm |---- this brain intentionally left blank \ | DSB100@psuvm | There's too much blood in my alcohol system! | | 72145.224@compuserve.com | Where's the kaboom??
