[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] seeking advice/experience

raja@osc.edu (Raja Daoud) (08/27/90)

Hi there,
I don't follow this group regularly, so forgive me if this is a re-hash
of an old discussion.

I was just checking "Computer Shopper" (Sept. 90, pp 644-647) and there
is an ad. by a company called "TREDEX" (based in CA) and, ... you guessed
right, it sounds too good to be true (at least to me).
(in summary: 386-20MHz, 4 MB RAM, 40 MB hard, 3.5", VGA 14" monitor and
adapter, RAM cache controller, ext. keyboard, 1 serial/1 parallel port,
mouse, DOS 4.01 -- for $1600)
Also on the next page, a scanner (flat bed, 300 dpi, 16 grey shades,
interface card and cable, OCR Plus -- for $600).

The basic question: do any of you have experience dealing with this
company ? Any advice/horror stories ... ?

Thanks for the help,
--Raja
