Can someone out there in net-land help me? What with the proliferation of
virus-detection programs, and a recent virus attack at one of our divisions, I
need clarification regarding the use the following programs:
SCANV66 (McAfee Associates)
VSHLD66 (McAfee Associates)
VCOPY66 (McAfee Associates)
FluShot+ (Shareware version)
I have an IBM-PCXT clone with hard drive at my home, am the only user of the
machine, but frequently download shareware using my modem from various BBS's as
well as comp.binaries.
1. If I download to a floppy drive, and run SCAN on the drive before moving
the programs to the hard drive, do I still need to have VSHLD memory
resident on my PC?
2. Is there any value to having both VSHLD and FLUSHOT+ memory resident?
3. Do I need VCOPY?
