Has anybody had any recent experience with software that can be used for bibliographies? I am now using Tracker but it is not only slow (stack-oriented) but will not format properly, and lacks the capability to interact with the manuscript to fill in items. Reference Manager seems to have that but cannot handle non-medical science items: what, for example, do you do with an item from the NY Times? From my reading of the Ref Man manual, it seems it will not permit you use conventional footnotes either. Ideally, I would like to have an assistant simply translate my present Tracker material into a new biblio database that can interact with a manuscript, prefereably, but if not, will at least permit a variety of formats beyond the scientistic, and which is rather fast. Your experience please, and your opinions.
