[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] Tandy 1000: Expandable?

mark@vaxb.acs.unt.edu (09/01/90)

Hello Netland,

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the following computer:
               Tandy 1000
               2 5.25" disk drives
               Color Monitor (CGA??)
               256K RAM
300 baud internal modem (not Hayes compatible)
               4 or 5 slots????
               Phoenix Bios v 1.00.00
               MS-DOS v 2.00.00 - Tandy version 2.11.00

      My questions are:
               1. Can its memory be expanded? If so, how? If so, anyone
want to sell some memory to me????
               2. Is this machine limited to MS-DOS version 2.00, or could I
run 3.3 or higher on it?
               3. Is the bus of this machine PC or PC/XT compatible?
               4. What chip does this machine use and what's its clock speed?
                   (8086, 8088, 4 MgHz, 8 MgHz ????)
               5. Any room for a math coprocessor in it?
               6. Anyone have any add-on cards they want to sell for it?

So, if you have any information about this computer, or have anything
that you thing would worthy of adding to it, please let me know. Please mail
to me directly as I do not read all the groups that I posted this in.
Thanks....

Mark
