[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] Editor,stay resident

esteban@apollo.HP.COM (Steven Fernandez) (08/31/90)

I just bought a small portable with an 8 MGHTZ 8088 processor. It has 720k of
memory and a 20 meg hard drive. I was thinking of buying the Borland
stay resident
editor phone book etc but I was wondering if anybody has a better
suggestion for a stay
resident editor. I basically will be using the machine to run Procomm
and your occasional
editing. Is there a better way to keep my editor and comm program in
memory? I'm willing
to give up some performance but I don't have that much to give up.

			Thanks

			Steve

Yes, there is a better "stay resident" editor. It is a version of Qedit, I
think the latest version is 2.1, they also offer a shareware version (it is
the same product without the BUY ME announcement at the beginning and end),
try the following:

   Chip Rabinowitz, of
