[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] looking for MSC dot-mat plotting library

6011_3115@uwovax.uwo.ca (09/12/90)

I am looking for a MSC or MS Fortran library of functions which
communicate with dot matrix printers - specifically, I would like
to be able to hi-res plot to my NEC pinwriter directly from within
my C or Fortran program. I do not need anything too fancy - just
the ability to draw (and connect) lines between points on the printer
page. A simple screendump looks just too messy, and does not take
advantage of my printer's 360 dpi capability.

A program which emulates Calcomp plotter commands for a dot-matrix
printer would be ideal.

I have looked through many bbs' and tons'o anon ftp sites, all to no
avail. I would appreciate any information about libraries or programs
which might suit my purpose (commercial or public domain).

Thanks,

Mike.
