From article <1990Sep11.160718.23560@sun.soe.clarkson.edu>, by caram@sun.soe.clarkson.edu: " " Has anybody bought a Bondwell Laptop? If so what is your opinion " about this computer? I bought one. It works. Reading the screen is irritating after a while -- not back-lit. Disk drives are pretty slow. Using the mouse with WordStar might not be practical -- the mouse cursor sort of skitters around the screen -- but it does function. (WordStar doesn't handle the mouse; a separate program, Magic Mouse, does.) I hooked it up to a separate monitor to see some (a little, low resolution) color -- that works, too. Battery seems to be lasting, oh, well over an hour between recharges. Greg, lee@uhccux.uhcc.hawaii.edu

In a PC Magazine review of a number of laptops which appeared early last year sometime, the reviewer had one word for Bondwell laptops: "LANDFILL". I've never owned one (and based on this review, I probably never will). He apparently didn't like either the screen or the keyboard. Maybe they've cleaned up their act by now.
