swie@cs.umn.edu (S. T. Tan) (08/24/90)

Hi, I would like to purchase IBM PS/1 with 512K RAM, Monochrome display,
2400 baud mode but no hard disk. (for $999)
Could you tell me your experience with PS/1 ?
Is it a good product ?

Thanks in advance
swie

In my experience, you should stay as far away from IBM's products as possible.
The chances that you're getting ripped off are near to 100 %.

We won the cold war. The Russians spent trillions defending their stuff,
then they found that they didn't have any stuff. Will we avoid the same trap?

Swie,

Get your hands on a copy of PC Magazine, August 1990 issue. The PS/1 was
the cover story.
