[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] 68000 cross-assembler requested

gwunix00@seas.gwu.edu (Timur Tabi) (09/11/90)

Does anyone have a pd-shareware 68000 cross-assembler for IBM PC's? All
I need is something that can handle labels, and produces a listing that
contains the machine language code. I don't need macros or structures or
include files or whatever. Thanx!

Looking for a 68K cross-assembler?

Try calling the Motorola BBS at: (915) 891-3733 (2400 baud n,8,1)

They have several public domain utilities including a cross-assembler, a
C cross-compiler, EPROM file manipulation utilities and more. It has been
a few months since I last accessed the BBS, but hopefully they are still in
business. Last time I called the BBS was a no-charge (free) service.

Good Luck.

The PC-SIG collection has a number of cross assemblers for Motorola
porcessors available. I'm not sure where, but there are at least 2 anon
ftp sites with the PC-SIG collection available. If you can't find them,
let me know and I'll look them up.

I've tried this number, and all I get is a recording saying that the
call cannot be completed as dialed. Has anybody been able to access
this BBS recently?

I have reached [(the), (a)] Motorola BBS using the number (512) 440-3733.
Haven't tried recently, though.
