I don't know too much about this, but I recently was given a file with a .zip extension. Is the ZIP compression done by PD or commercial software? If PD, where can I get a copy. Thanks for any help Todd

Thanks for any help Zip compression is handled by a self-extracting shareware package pkz110.exe or pkz110eu.exe (the European version without special encryption). You can get the goods from any well-stocked BBS (if you have a modem) or by anonymous ftp (if you have the ftp-capability) eg from chyde.uwasa.fi (Vaasa, Finland, 128.214.12.3) directory /pc/pd2. ................................................................... Hello world, I got a zip'ed file from a remove server. Down-load'ed it to my pc, and then when I went to de-zip it I got an error "file name loger then 255 char's" or some such nonsence. What gives? Thanks in advance. Stephen
