[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] Need info about a program called Instant Recall

jmac@milton.u.washington.edu (James McCarter) (09/25/90)

I got a copy of a program called Instant Recall from SIMTEL20 a few
months back (PD1:<MSDOS.DESKACCESS>IR164F.ZIP). The version of the program in
this archive has somewhat limited capabilities because of a file size
restriction for the database. When I tried to contact the company I could not
find them.

Does anyone know where the company or individuals responsible for the
program went? The address and phone included in the documentation are:

Precept 3790 El Camino Real, suite 173
    Palo Alto, CA 94306
    (415) 327-6886

The program was copyright 1985 and 1986.

Thanks in advance for any information in tracking them down.

It's now published as Memory Mate by Broderbund. PC Connection carries it.

The version of Instant Recall you have is now sold as Memory Mate by Broderbund
software. It should be available from any decent place which sells software.
I never ran into a file size limitation with Instant Recall. The biggest
difference I noticed was that Memory Mate will accept wildcard arguments in a
search.

Also note that there is now a commercial product called Instant Recall. It has
no relation to the program you have used.
