I also collect GIF files, but not to the extent I use to. I kept filling up hard drive space too quickly with them. I mostly have SVGA pictures...I got tired of the X-rated ones so I mostly now have scenery and art (grasps and FLI animations are a different story). Mostly, you can get GIF files through FTP sites. WUARCHIVE.WUSTL.EDU, GRAPE.ECS.CLARKSON.EDU, XANTH.CS.ODU.EDU are a few sites that have GIF Files for anonymous FTP. Also, I invite you to take a look at GIF News - a free computer magazine that's stored in .GIF format so you can get graphics and text. 10 Issues so far have came out since 1988 and they cover a variety of articles from VESA VGA, Faces (the new Tetris game), The Soundblaster card, a look at Bulletin Boards, etc. It's uploaded to BBS's across the country, and if you know of an FTP site that accepts uploads, I'll FTP it there for you to take a look.
