I'm having a problem formatting out an RLL hard drive in an old True Blue PC. The drive is a Western Digital File Card 30 (it's actually an early 3.5 hard drive made by another manufacturer, but I don't know who). Anyway, the lowlevel format on the BIOS works fine (g=C800:5), and then I'm partitioning it with FDISK and doing the logical format with the PC-DOS FORMAT program. The problem is that the drive formats out to only 20 Meg. Are there special partitioning and format programs for RLL drives? (The original utility disk for the drive is long-gone, and Western Digital says it's no longer available.) If so, how can I get a copy? Is there perhaps something in PD that will do this? (Or what about Disk Manager? Norton Utilities 5.0?) -- Theodore A.
