I'm writing an application in MS C on IBM PCs running DOS. Part of the package requires graphing and other graphics to the screen or to a printer. Graphics to the screen presents few problems, but I'm unsure how to proceed with supporting printers. Does anybody have any words of guidance for me? Am I going to have to write, from scratch, device drivers for all the supported printers? Has someone done this already, and the results are in the public domain? I really don't want to have to "re-invent the wheel". Also, does anybody have any hints or tips about device independent graphics? Should I just assume a postscript device, and worry about how that is handled seperately? Any help gratefully received, I'm a babe in arms on this issue!
