[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] C source code browser for PC?

kelpie@nwnexus.WA.COM (Anthony C. Garland) (10/05/90)

I am looking for a C source code browser similar to an AT&T product
known as "cscope" under UNIX. I've checked out Microsoft's Programmer's
Workbench (PWB), but am not impressed.

At the moment I'm using MKS "ctags" and "grep" along with multiple
windows under OS/2, but it is pretty unwieldy (still more efficient
than PWB though).

What I'm looking for would scan source files, build a single data base,
and then support various views of the sources. PWB does all this, but
is pretty darn unwieldy and frustrating to use. I'm looking for something a
bit better thought out.

Thanks - please post or respond via e-mail.
