Has anybody had experience with Library Master and/or Bibliofile? They are both bibliographic database programs with a tilt toward the academic, except that the first is commercial and the second shareware. I have eschewed Reference Manager because it is inflexible and will not accomodate sources other than scientific ones (e.g., NY Times, Atlantic) although it has lots of good features. ProCite I phoned for information well over a month ago and it has not been sent--a good indication of their future support. At present I use Tracker which is stack-oriented, slow and limited in report formatting, but otherwise has much to recommend it. Only after one has committed oneself and used a program for some time does one realize its limitations and klutziness. Library Master claims major advantages over all the others, and Bibliofile requires a lot of work to get decoded and installed properly, andhen one is not certainin whether it is better than most shareware. Please share your experience and evaluation with any of these programs. -- ----------- Ben Singer Department of Sociology University of Western Ontario Singer@uwo.ca London, Ontario Singer@uwovax.bitnet N6A 5C2 (519) 660-0671 (home) (519) 679-2111 Ext 5137
