I was thrilled to see the CACM greatest hits issue mentioned in the leader article. However, I was devastated to find out that there is a serious printing error in the reprint of the Thompson and Ritchie, UNIX(tm) article. This causes almost all of the retrospective section to be lost. Joe Wood ariel!jlw
