dkchen@sp1.csrd.uiuc.edu (Ding-Kai Chen) (10/12/90)

Hi,
Can anyone tell me where is the best buy for 1 Meg x 1 DRAM chips?
I need around 4 Megs to upgrade my 386/20.
Thanks.

The cheapest price I've seen is $4.99 for 1meg-80ns DIP chips.

Advertised by Fry's Electronics
              440 Mission Ct.
              Fremont, CA
              (415) 770-FRYS

But, I'm not sure if they accept mail orders.

Looking in the October 8 issue of PC Week, I find that Q-TEK advertises the
80 ns 1M drams at $4.50. You would have to call to check on the volume
required to get that price. I picked up a buch of 41256's from them a few
weeks ago and was happy with the price and service.
