[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] VGA with MultiSync II

donovan@hawkeye.uucp (Dennis Donovan) (10/09/90)

I am interested in upgrading my system to VGA but I'm not sure which VGA card I
should purchase. I have a MultiSync II monitor so I'd be interested in
any experience running a VGA on that monitor (i.e. What kind?, Is it good?,
etc.). Any input would be greatly appreciated. Please email to me so we
don't clutter up this newsgroup any more than it already is.

Thanks.

I use an ATI VGA Wonder with 512K ( gives 800x600 w/ 256 colors)

I use the ATI VGA Wonder w/512K also. The problem with it is a lack
of drivers. My Unix (Esix) doesn't support it, so I can only do
640*480 with it. In Microsoft Windows 3.0, you can do 800*600 though.

I'm using the Multisync II with it too.
