Due to popular demand, I will describe how to setup Windows 3 for the Optima 1024A Plus with 640*480*256 in enhanced mode. First, get the two driver collections from cica.cica.indiana.edu: WIN3PROD.ZIP (Orchid Prodesigner) and EIZOW30.ZIP (Eizo MD-B07 and -B10). Both cards use the ET3000 chip. Then install the 640*480*256 driver from the Orchid driver collection, following the instructions in the readme.doc file. Finally, copy the file VDDEVGA.386 from the Eizo driver collection to your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory and change the entry [386Enh] display=vddtli3.386 to display=vddevga.386 This change is necessary if you want to use Windows in enhanced mode. A warning: I use the above combination, but haven't tested it much. Use it at your own risk. (I would rather like to use officially supported drivers, so I phone the German office of Tseng every other month, but they have nothing to deliver, yet). Wolfgang Strobl #include <std.disclaimer.hpp>
