What with the GNU utilties which run right out of the box, Jove, ms_sh, the GNUish MS-DOS stuff, PICNIX, less, and various other things, I've succeeded in building a very nice, comfortable (and free) UNIX-like environment on our MessDOS machines. One of the few user-level things missing is tr(1). Has anyone seen tr for MS-DOS, or even some good source which could be ported? --richard
