[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] Archive tape units

v087mxgb@ubvmsa.cc.buffalo.edu (Shawn E Thompson) (11/08/90)

I purchased a 150Mb Archive internal 1/4" cartridge tape
drive, where I used to work....

It hasn't worked yet in 17 months!!!!!!

My own personal biased opinion is to stick with Everex
external cassette tape backups.

We think so, for the low-end type. We've got 60 and 150mb units.

I'm not familiar with their 40mb unit, but the 60mb we have does support
a "tape listing". Perhaps all that is needed is to identify the model
number, and contact their tech support department for a software upgrade.
