Attention, Doug Hardie and Bob Menton: I have attempted to send the "longwinded reply" to Bob's question about radials to both of you via the net. If you do not receive it, lets see if we can figure out a working mail address path. Others wishing to see a copy of the reply may feel free to request it. It gives a lot of intuitive discussion of what radials are supposed to do for you (3 different functions), why a quarter wavelength is magic, a lot of other ideas for very effective wire antennas for HF DX work, etc. I thought it a bit long to just inundate the net with it gratis, but it might be useful to some subscribers. -John S., W3IKG P.S. - Keith -- is it feasible to put it into the archives without putting it on the net generally? Or maybe I should just do that and give the net some exercise?
