[comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc] VGA images on TV

svaldez@sdcc13.ucsd.edu (DJ Flip ) (11/19/90)

I'd like to be able to get some card which can display VGA or
SuperVGA images on a regular composite/NTSC monitor...

I noticed that a local computer dealer advertised a Willow 'video
capture VGA-TV' card for approx. $300.00 I remember seeing ads by
Willow sometime last year in PC Magazine (the one with the baby on
the screen). At the price the card would be perfect for simply
displaying VGA/SVGA images on my monitor.

I've followed the discussion on this in comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware but
have some questions on 1) the cards capabilities (as infeatures,
available drivers, max resolution (VGA), limitations).

2) I've also noticed that US Video and another company has similar
(more costly?) cards also out there? - specs/experiences anyone?

Exact model's for the Willow (I could use a physical description of
the box , the card or whatever to make sure this is the same card I
get) or other cards would be appreciated.
