I am working with a blind student at St. Vincent's College in Latrobe, PA. We have fixed him up with an old AT&T 6300(?) (Olivetti PC clone) and an Artic Vision board, a voice synthesizer which speaks what's on the screen. This setup is designed to work with WordPerfect, and it does. Our problem is that the student now needs to connect his PC with a mainframe using a terminal emulator, again having the "terminal" speak what the mainframe is sending. The people at St. Vincent's have tried a couple of popular terminal emulators, none of which behave properly. My Question: Have any of you encountered this situation and can suggest a solution? Also, is there another newsgroup more appropriate for this question? Chris Pottle Professor of Electrical Engineering Cornell University pottle@ee.cornell.edu (607) 255-4085
