We are using a camera and a frame grabber to examine the build up of ice on a trashrack in front of a intake to a power plant. We are calling up the machine with the grabber card installed from the power plants controlcenter, grabbing a picture, saving it as a PCX file and sending it over the telephone to the operators pc. The problem is the size of the pcx file. At 200 K, the transmission time is to long. What I need is a fast compression routine for pcx files.
