Hello, and Happy New Year !! I'm looking for any info concerning the use of flat panel displays (LCD or gas plasma screens) on standard 286 or 386 machines I've contacted some manufacturers of these displays, but they seem to make it for only laptops or notebooks. They don't bother interfacing with 286/386 pc's If anyone knows of a company that does make interface for these displays for use on 286/386, please send me some info. thanks in advance.. ps. if possible, please e-mail me. I don't have much time to read the news everyday. ---- koh@eng.umd.edu

While we are talking about LCD screens. Someone told me that LCD screens are only good for about 10 years. I have some that are getting to that age and they still appear fine. I admit that my Epson PX-8 laptop is a bit dim, but it was always that way. Can anybody shed some light on this? After all mood rings were made from the same thing and they are still working fine I believe.
